The latest complete month
July 2026
2,400 more than June 2026 (2,926).
$277.7M frozen, across 422 actions we can price. The rest are counted but carry no value, so this is a floor.
In progress August 2026 so far (to August 13, 2026): 301 freezes, 41 seizures. Not comparable to a full month.
A freeze is a recorded control action that prevents the holder from originating a transfer. A seizure is a separate action that burns token units or moves them under a deployment-specific control.
Companies use different words for this outcome. Tether calls certain actions a blacklist, Robinhood a block, and Monerium a ban. We group them because the holder cannot originate a transfer, while incoming-transfer and balance-burn mechanics can still differ by deployment.
Counted from on-chain records across 16 networks. Nothing is estimated or projected.

Before you cite these numbers
One action, not one wallet
Each count is one action against one address. One case can produce many actions across several wallets and networks, so a press-reported case total will not match any month here.
A month can jump for a real reason
One coordinated enforcement wave, or an issuer launching on a new network, moves a month sharply. These are counts of what happened, not a forecast.
Every month is a floor
Adding a network, or a token that already has freeze history, raises past months too — we index each token back to its first recorded action. A month is what we have so far, not a final number.
More detail
Freeze statistics breaks the whole record down by token, network and year. Largest freezes ranks them by dollar value. The freeze and blacklist timeline shows when each stablecoin gained freeze controls, and the blacklist tracker covers the current record.
Per token: USDT blacklist and freeze tracker and USDC blacklist and freeze tracker. For the background on how these controls work, see how to read a stablecoin blacklist report and how stablecoin blacklists work.
